On November 21, 2022, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Kodinar, Gir Somnath district, alongside Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, campaigning for BJP candidates in the Saurashtra region ahead of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly elections. The event called for full site infrastructure: a canopy pandal seating thousands, a floral stage backdrop, and VIP amenities on site.
